Diana dos Teclados showcases the power of music with passion and infectious rhythm

The singer and keyboardist brings her talent and her passion for forró and sertanejo to win over thousands of fans

By Paulo Maia

Diana dos Teclados is an artist who turned necessity into passion and passion into a global stage in the digital universe. Born and raised in Heliópolis, Diana carries in her musical DNA the strength of the Northeast, a heritage passed down by her parents, pulsing in the contagious rhythm of forró and sertanejo that she performs with mastery.

Her accent, the soul of her art, and the unmistakable touch of the keyboard are reflections of a life entirely dedicated to music.

Diana’s musical journey began long before she took the lead at the keyboards. Her father, Valdemar—better known as “Dema dos Teclados,” a keyboardist who recorded his first tape in the 1980s—was her main influence. Since childhood, she attended rehearsals and shows, absorbing the sound universe. At 13, she mastered the keyboard through a method created by him, marking the beginning of a 15-year partnership in São Paulo’s nightlife. From bars to private parties, the duo made music their livelihood—hard work that, while vital, still didn’t allow Diana to invest in herself as an artist.

However, the need for more stability and security led to a five-year pause. Music was temporarily replaced by running a small business in the community—a difficult but necessary decision. Many would think the story ended there, but true passion never goes silent.

Music has always been an important part of her life, even though at first she lived off it without investing in her career.

Her rebirth came through an unlikely opportunity: an online course that promised earnings by singing from home. Despite her skepticism, Diana took the risk. The initial return was modest, but discipline and consistency soon brought rewards. By the second month, she was already earning more than the minimum wage—an injection of motivation that made her see live streaming as a “new stage.”

TikTok became the catalyst for a true boom in her career. Diana’s charisma, beauty, and the vibrant way she plays and sings won over thousands of people. The digital environment did what physical stages couldn’t: it helped her overcome shyness. Performing for the camera, without the direct reaction of the audience, freed her to interact and shine.

Despite her success, Diana’s life is a constant proof of resilience. The success of her livestreams required investment: building a studio in her new home, while also managing the family business. Devoting herself to these projects and striving to focus exclusively on livestreams demands immense time and effort. Online earnings have their ups and downs, but for Diana, true wealth lies in something deeper.

She deeply values the emotional support and recognition of her fans. Feedback that her music helps people through difficult times—such as depression or separation—is her greatest motivation. Her father, a constant mentor, reminds her of the importance of the audience: having 500 people watching is a big crowd that many dream of. The numbers are impressive: Diana has already reached more than 400,000 followers on TikTok and had livestreams with over 60,000 viewers passing through.

For her, success is a “lottery” that requires consistency and quality. And she is playing with all her strength.

Although she doesn’t speak English, Diana dos Teclados proves that music is a universal language. She has followers in Portugal, Belgium, and Canada, and has already attracted the interest of foreign art students, who considered her music and style of playing unusual and original.

Her story is a testimony that passion, when accompanied by discipline and a grateful heart, is the greatest force to overcome everyday difficulties. Born in São Paulo but with roots firmly planted in the Northeast, Diana dos Teclados continues to play and sing, giving her best and transforming daily struggles into contagious rhythm—proving that, whether on the digital stage or in real life, emotion and authenticity always prevail.
