From Cajati, a small town in São Paulo state, to stages and screens across Brazil, Ruby — the stage name of Rubia Muniz — is living proof that talent, when paired with courage and persistence, can transform a life.
From a very young age, music pulsed in her heart. Still in her mother’s womb, Ruby reacted to the melodies that filled the room, as if she already knew her life would be guided by notes and chords. Though there were no musicians in the family, she was surrounded by lovers of good music and grew up influenced by everything from classical to pop/rock, shaping her into a passionate and well-rounded artist.
Her journey began in childhood, singing in church and recording songs from the radio onto cassette tapes to sing along. Encouraged by her aunt, she joined a choir at age 8 and dove into the world of classical singing, studying for four years. She learned violin, guitar, keyboard, vocal technique, and even theater — skills that would later become her allies on stage, helping her manage anxiety and shine with presence and emotion.
In her teens, a change in her voice led her away from classical singing, but not from music. She formed a band with school friends, performed at local events, and was invited by a teacher to sing blues. At 22, she received her first paycheck for a performance and, with a heart full of certainty, decided she would make a living from music.
The turning point came when she moved to Santa Catarina. First to Itajaí, then to Florianópolis, Ruby faced the challenges of the pandemic with resilience. She worked in a coffee shop, connected with local artists, and found new fuel for her art in solidarity. In just four months, she was already singing at weddings and events, proving that her voice could not be silenced.
Ruby built her career with dedication and versatility. She formed bands, partnered with studios, taught vocal technique, and created two musical projects: one focused on parties and venues, featuring dance hits from the ’70s to the ’90s, and another specialized in weddings, bringing emotion to unforgettable moments.
But it was on TikTok that Ruby found a new way to connect with the public — and with her own family, who had never seen her perform live until then. She joined the platform in November 2024, doing livestreams to showcase her work and, surprisingly, gained a legion of followers. Her intense, heartfelt voice touched hearts, awakened memories, and made each performance feel like a reunion with the past.
In no time, Ruby became known as the “Queen of Flashback,” receiving awards and recognition for her moving interpretations. Today, thanks to professional management and the affection of her fans on the platform, she lives from music with stability and love — proving that talent, when guided by the soul, always finds its way.
Ruby is not just a singer. She is a story of passion and connection. An artist who turns every note into emotion and every stage — physical or virtual — into a meeting place between dreams and reality.
